In all these years I have not heard ONE convincing argument against it. <br />But I do have my opinions on why this is such an issue in the US. <br />Americans have never been good with change. I always say that somehow America seems to have gotten stuck in the 50s because back then things were simple and America the biggest power on the globe and life seemed good. Maybe that's the reason behind not wanting to develop. <br />For a country founded on the separation of church and government the US are a prime example of how strongly connected those two can be. <br />I believe there are many reasons why the US has such an issue with so many things that seem to be so easy to solve (adding health insurance to this equation). Lobbyists are just one one them. Because people don't know what the bible says. People don't know what the constitution says. They know what they are told by people who have taken it upon themselves to manufacture opinions. It's sad, but a sad truth. <br />And I don't say this to be confrontational.
